Event Description

Have you wondered which plants in your backyard are edible or medicinal? Who would have thought that we are walking over food and medicine every
day? Led by Susan Marynowski, who holds an M.S. in ecology and has been a student and practitioner of herbal medicine for nearly 20 years, this class
will include a stroll to see some edible and medicinal weeds in downtown Gainesville. Late winter and early spring are particularly bountiful times for
edible greens in Florida, so come on out and see nature’s smorgasbord. Tastings will demonstrate that these ﬂavorful, mineral-rich plants can take an
important part in your everyday diet! Handouts will be provided. Class is unlimited and free but please RSVP to: educationdept@indigogreenstore.com.

She made a similar presentation last year in Micanopy at Mosswood Farm Store. We strolled, met plants, nibbled bidens and hawksbeard. Someday an elderberry will grow in my yard.
This is a terrific class - go if you can!

On Sat April 25 I will be making a presentation on Zero Balancing at the North Central Florida Holistic Healing Conference & Expo (and taking some classes too).
