Does being upright condemn us to a life of back pain?
Does staying upright in gravity have to be a constant struggle?
Are you condemned to poor posture by bad habits?
NO!
Posture can be improved, easily and painlessly, at any age. Using our uniquely human intelligence, we can align ourselves with gravity and move in ways that do not create pain.
In this class we will use the gentle explorations of the Feldenkrais Method® of movement education to develop flexibility, support, and self-awareness in the spine. We will also explore how flexibility and strength can compliment, not counteract each other. Instead of stretching and strengthening, we will use methods based on developmental learning and neurological reprogramming to effect change.
Benefits include:
Reduced neck, back, and shoulder pain and tension
More attractive and efficient posture and movement
Less vulnerability to injury
Increased flexibility
Enhanced sense of confidence
