Come gather together with Green Path family in the high country of Southern Oregon for a week of feasting, networking, skillsharing, song circles, plant walks, visioning, and exploring the magnificent Siskiyou Crest.
Please RSVP on our Facebook page here.
The site is on a small lake in the Greensprings area 15 miles east of Ashland, and the hike from the parking area is only about 1/4 mile. The directions are posted at the bottom of this email.
Sorry to say there is actually not a spring at the site, but the awesome Tubbs Springs wayside is only a few miles away by car and we can do water runs whenever it's needed. We'll have 5 gallon jugs and can always use more if you have 'em. Rain is unlikely but we will set up a few tipis that folks who don't want to bother with tents can sleep in.
Food will be cooked and shared communally, but folks should bring their own snacks and personal stash. Suggestions for contributions include bulk grains and veggies, and any special items like ferments and fresh dairy and meat, and we plan to make use of the region's abundant wild food and medicine resources.
Please bring musical instruments, plant ID books, stories and songs to share, drums (full moon circle on the 12th!), boats and floaties, eating utensils, water jugs, and any materials for skillsharing you think may be useful!
Children are welcomed and encouraged, as well as materials or inspiration for kids' activities!
Spread the word! Help us grow community in the Siskiyous for earth based skillsharing and celebration!
DIRECTIONS FROM ASHLAND:
-Take Hwy 66 East out of Ashland (its the southernmost exit off I-5)
-go past the 15 mile marker, and take your next left on a dirt road, where you'll see a sign listing Little Hyatt Lake in 2.9 miles
-When you get to the spillway at the bottom of the lake (small reservoir) park at the pull out, then follow the trail around the left side of the Lake.
