Dangerously organic!

I did a little search on Bob Jackson frames based on Pete Korhonen's comment a while ago. I'm wondering what you liked about the frame and which in particular you liked, Pete. After visiting Villin Cycle Works, I have a new appreciation for the art of frame making.

the frame i saw was slightly small for me after all. but, my appreciation is still on. the frame was extremely lightweight, form was "pure", only the necessary bits and pieces were left on. there was no drillings for the brakes. classic steel (or cromo), lugged, nice paintjob.

I felt a kind of "this one is a true beauty!" -splash on me. difficult to explain or tell exactly why. =D

Yes, I know what you mean. I met Rob and his son, bicycle mechanics, last night here in Orlando, FL who railed against fixed gears. But, I am still obsessed with the Villin Fixie I described in "Fixed Gear Addiction"
I just think it's so beautiful. And, I liked riding it. But, I hear what Rob, the mechanic I talked with last night is saying when he says "Yeah, imagine your foot slipping off a pedal and it coming around and breaking your leg". For some reason, the other factors of being hyper alert while riding attract me. And, it's such a beautiful bike. I am going to ride it again today, if I go up to Gainesville, FL from here in Winter Park, FL. I guess you understand.
