Orlando had free wireless internet provided by the city in its city center, but it was underutilized and shut off. Rome, Italy has free wireless, but it requires a local phone number to validate a new account. So, it's awkward for a traveller to get access. Now, Orlando has free wireless provided by an Internet Service Provider. The service is better and this second time around seems to work. You can go into a coffee shop and see for pay and free wireless internet access points available. I see this part of the growth and education of providers of free wireless. Does it make sense that a neighborhood with 40 homes have 40 independent internet services?
