From Ethiopia's teff, we have injera, the soft pancake like bread used to scoop up food like warm lentils in a community tray among friends at a meal. The Baobab tree in Senegal that you see in the photo for this group produces a juice that is sweet and refreshing. Have you had Red Zinger tea? Its main ingredient is hibiscus, a flower commonly used all over Africa to make this delicious, thirst quenching red drink. Senegal offers us Tyson, a spice laced with pepper that can only compare to berbere, the combination of fiery spices Ethiopians love.
