Dangerously organic!

Hey Michael
Yeah. I found a cluster of 3 Lactarius Indigos. They are beautiful blue mushrooms which exude a blue sap when cut. They are reported to be a choice edible. I found one Boletus, which I couldn't get down to species. It was off-white with tan/brown tubes. I found dozens of chorals which I couldn't get down to species. My books list them as "edibility unknown" but a friend tells me that people eat them. I'm a newbie,so I err on the side of caution.
I may have answered my own question. I saw a picture of one labeled as a hedgehog. I guess, if I had picked it, I would have seen spines, but I left it undisturbed. I'm still curious to know if everything in that basket is edible. I see some I've been passing up.
Wow! What's the black one in the middle? I found one of those but failed to identify it. I've been seeing a lot of chorals lately, but not edible ones.
