Death of a dearly beloved tomato plant

I loved that tomato plant. Over its way-too-short life, it yielded 3 fragrant, juicy, tangy cherry tomatoes. And for all it bestowed upon me, all I gave it was the TLC normally reserved for a beloved pet: watering, fertilizing, picking off those pesky caterpillars and dispatching them to the gates of Hades.
