Companion Planting

Gainesville Sights

We have some very cold temps overnight here in Gainesville, FL. That makes it not a very good time to do any spring planting. But, soon, we'll return to normal and look out!… Continue

Houston, we have Kombucha!

Kombucha: do we have mold?

Wow! It worked! I was a little concerned when I saw the Kombucha after about 2 weeks because there was an irregular film on top. The photo below, from the Wikipedia Kombucha article leads me to believe the film on my Kombucha is normal. I'm… Continue

Juicers, Beauty and Living a Life of Integrity and Joy

Imperial Golden Harvest 9901 Juicer

My guitar teacher turned me on to the wonders of juicing. I'd drop by for a lesson and he'd say "Hey, you want something to drink?" He had a juicer that looked like it was commercial, and a press too. He'd make some delicious juices, usually with coconut milk added. After he juiced the stuff, he'd take the pulp and put it in a press that looked like… Continue
