Dangerously organic!
I dropped by Indigo yesterday and had to snap this shot. I love the caption "Help Yourself". You see, it's the underlying intent that people notice. My friends at Haile Village Bodywork, here in the Swamp, introduced me to the concept of qi (or chi), which is the energy attribute that tai chi refers to, the energy that we get from good conversation, it's energy!
And, people notice these things. I notice the tone of voice used in blog posts. You all notice the tone of voice your favorite vendor uses when a new product is described. There's nothing at all wrong with paid services, in my opinion. So many people have a hard time drawing the line between what's free and what amounts to earning a living.
Peppering your trade with good karma, fair trade(!), good judgement, all is part of loving this life and what I call lifestyle entrepreneurship.
My friend Heather has a business called The 10 Back Collection in Nicaragua. She buys beautiful hand crafted jewelry from artisans in San Juan Del Sur and sells them on the web. She gives 10% of the profits back to the artisans. That's so clever! Fair trade. An effort. Worth thinking about...
Why not give something back every chance you get?
