A Great Day at the Garden

I went to the garden yesterday and it was beautiful. That's Ron Chandler's circular patch above. Ron is in Thailand right now, I think. I just sent him an email this morning. Last we heard, he was stranded in the Bankok airport.

Thanks very much for making Zoobird and providing a place for me to post a few notes and images from the field. Writing to Zoobird was a meaningful way to stay connected to our neighborhood and community. Also, thank you for checking in on my garden and letting me know that it was in good condition. I will thank you and everyone else that stopped by and gave it a helping hand while I was in SE Asia.
In the next few weeks, I would like to post a short slide show highlighting the trip with a few notes. I will be home tomorrow 3-Jan, and intend to drop my things at the apartment, ride to McRorie, hug my garden, and then ride to Hawthorne and back. I will feel like am home again afterward. I am looking forward to seeing you and the everyone else in our community.
