Fire at the Finca

Oh no! Many of you know Mycol and have enjoyed visiting Finca Mycol. Well, there's been a fire there and so much has burned up. There's a fundraiser here and your support is appreciated. https://www.facebook.com/donate/290174221597709/10156263115797562/

I met Mycol 10 years ago at an event called Fall Harvest Fest. It was hosted at Indigo, Liberty Phoenix's shop in Gainesville. Mycol invited me to his property, The Finca Mycol. I wrote an article all about how he lives off the grid there called Living Off the Grid. We've been friends ever since. 

The ironic part of the fire is that Mycol was helping host a Permaculture Gathering that was supposed to be at William Wallace's place, but couldn't happen because William's place was messed up from Hurricane Michael.

It's going to be OK, but lots of stuff was destroyed in the fire. Tools, plants, canoes, all sorts of stuff that helped keep Finca Mycol running. 

People are invited to come out this weekend and help clean up. If you have a trailer to help haul trash, that would be appreciated.

It's chilly outside and the air will be smoky from the ashes. There are camping spots around. I bet tonight will be magic with the cool weather, stars above and good vibes from people helping out. Bring your own food and maybe we'll see you there.
