Dangerously organic!
Portland, Oregon is a fun place to go as a traveller. I've been visiting Portland for a long time and I always have a good time and see new things.
It's been a year since I've been here. There are new food carts serving up tasty, unusual meals. This is a Reuben Scramble from Zells.
If you want some fresh air, there are lots of beautiful parks.
Yesterday, I went to Pier Park with some friends and played disc golf.
There's some of the finest tattoo art you'll ever see here.
Waffles are the in thing this year. This one is the Brie, bacon and basil served up at the Waffle Window off Hawthorne Street.
And, there are a couple of above average places to stay for budget travelers: the Hawthorne Hostel and the NW Hostel. Both are comfortable, safe and welcoming. That photo above is a raised bed garden Hawthorne Hostel staff Steve planted with organic veggies and ornamental plants.
