Dangerously organic!
Think Differently!
Day 1:
Feel. Try this: Have a glass of warm water when you wake up rather than your usual cuppa (coffee, tea, whatever). Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with some lemon juice. See how you feel.
Day 2:
Taste. Try this: Have a glass of warm water when you wake up rather than your usual cuppa (coffee, tea, whatever). Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with some coffee. Just enough to taste the coffee. See how you feel.
Is there anything new under the sun? The Zen answer: "It doesn't matter".
Philosophy break: It may not matter, but it's all you have, so be creative.
Day 3:
See. Find an ant bed or a place where worms live. Maybe a pond with lots of microorganisms living, playing, dying in it. Ask yourself whether this is the only reality out there. Have a glass of warm water when you wake up rather than your usual cuppa (coffee, tea, whatever). Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with some chamomile tea. Just enough to taste the tea. See how you feel.
Day 4:
Hear. Listen to owls calling in the morning, just before dawn or in the evening at sunset. If that's not possible, find a recording somewhere and listen to it. Ask yourself if our five senses are all there is. Try to guess what other senses we humans lack might be. Write them here as comments if you like to share. Have a glass of warm water when you wake up rather than your usual cuppa (coffee, tea, whatever). Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with some of your favorite vegetable juice. Just enough to taste the juice. See how you feel. Note what you think.
Day 6:
See. Walk outside at sunset. Find the best spot you can to see the sun go down. Maybe you have to improvise with a photo on the web or TV, maybe in a book or mag, or a painting. Have a glass of warm water. Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with some of your favorite spices. Just enough to taste the spice. See how you feel. Note what you think.
Day 7:
Taste. Find a spot you like in nature. Slow down and immerse yourself in it. It doesn't matter how long because it's your time and time is relative. Have a glass of warm water. Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with some of your favorite wine. Just enough to taste the wine. You can substitute non-alcoholic wine, grapejuice, etc. See how you feel. Note what you think.
Day 8:
Feel. Take yourself to a parade, ball game, protest, concert, somewhere that creates energy in you. What sense is this energy? Call it excitement, fear, whatever. You may have to watch YouTube or listen to the radio. Whatever. Have a glass of warm water. Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with some of your favorite herbs. Just enough to taste the herb. See how you feel. Note what you think.
Day 9:
Listen. Have you got a trail to walk? Take yourself just far enough into the trail to surround yourself with it. What do you hear? Wind? Leaves rustling? Squirrels chirping? Birds calling? Planes flying? Trains whistling? Have a glass of warm water. Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with a bit of something you like. Just enough to taste it. See how you feel. Note what you think.
Day 10:
Think. Find a painting you love. Look at it. What does it evoke in you? What do you call that sense? Have a glass of warm water. Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with a bit of almond milk. Just enough to taste it. See how you feel. Note what you think.
Day 11:
Exercise. You may have to watch a video. Have a glass of warm water. Do some yoga. Meditate. Have another glass of warm water with a bit of soy milk. Just enough to taste it. See how you feel. Note what you think.
What would you rather do: be invited to the party or throw the party yourself?
