Anything you'd like to tell about yourself? Where do you live? (optional!)
Currently stay near a Eco village called earth haven, which is on a 320 acre piece of property, landscaped with water falls, creeks, valleys, mountains and beautiful abundant forests. I am currently aiding the area with Thai massage workshops, massage based therapy, with the added child care and other various jobs to sustain my self. I enjoy herbal foraging and medicine making. There is so much to learn here and I absorb it all inwards for now until I depart for Florida come the spring. It will be my first full winter where it snows so I look forward to chopping wood, being snowed in, and dancing to stay warm!
Congratulations on being featured here at Zoobird. Hey, your profile photo is upside down! Seriously, though, we're interested in what you're learning doing that integral community embedded work living near Earth Haven. I've heard about Earth Haven and want to learn more. Would you please give us your perspective on 1) what Earth Haven is and 2) how your unique approach to being a part of EH is working for you both practically and spiritually (if you can make that distinction).
Hey, Nick! Glad you made it here, Senor! Peace thru grease - you'll love this. There's a guy with a bio-diesel motorcycle for sale. Check it out: It's got a "John-Deere/Yanmar Engine ( TNA-72, 3 cylinder about 900 cc displacement.) It has a billet flywheel and bell housing so the original clutch fits. The transmission is original. The forks are two inches longer than stock to give additional clearance to the front wheel/engine assembly. It runs on ordinary diesel and B100 to B20. It has a top speed of 63 mph. It gets 85 MPG when running a speed of 55 mph. It loves biodiesel."
I just love stuff like this. I wonder if he'd like to trade it for a couple of ultra cool vintage bikes that get even better MPG, under different circumstances!
I've heard a lot about Earth Haven...intentional community. Mainly from people at the Hawthorne Hostel in Portland, OR one visit when we talked a lot about alternative living situations. I meant to visit...
Great! Maybe you can blog a bit about it. You're missing the cold front here in GVille ;-)
